Joyful Noise Homeschool Music Program – A homeschool music program offering classes for children from preschool through high school run on Christian principles. Opportunities are available in general music, choir, band and strings.
Sarah Hightower Regional Library – Check out their story times for younger children and the vacation reading program for all ages with lots of great prizes. See the calendar of events at the library. (Don’t forget the Friends of the Library seasonal and ongoing book sales). Watch for regular exhibits and displays throughout the library.

Girl Scouts of America – Of course, there are the Girl Scouts too. From Daisy to Senior, girls can participate in activities, camp and so much more. Contact the local council for scouting opportunities.
Rome/Floyd Parks and Recreation– Baseball, soccer, tennis, basketball, gymnastics, softball and football to name a few of the organized activities available through the parks and recreation department. Also trail information, swimming pool and recreation center information is at their website.
Rome Braves Baseball – Join Romey’s Rascals Club for box level tickets, t-shirt and other goodies. Included is even a baseball camp during the summer. Romey and many of the Braves players can be found doing activities throughout the community. Check out their website for more information.
Three Rivers Swim Club – Competitive swim opportunities in the Rome Area starting for basic swimmers, at age 7 and up through high school. They also have mini sessions for novice swimmers who can already swim in some fashion but who want to quickly get much more skilled than ever before. Mini-Session participants learn the techniques necessary for good backstroke, freestyle, butterfly, breaststroke, dives, turns and underwater breakouts.
GHS Warriors – Sports programs for homeschooler/educators in the North West GA Area. [Including Basketball, Tennis, Cheerleading] This program is open to all homeschoolers in the area. Georgia Botanical Society – The group is dedicated to the study and preservation of Georgia’s wild, native, rare and endangered wildflowers and plant life. A few trips are scheduled for Floyd County and all over Georgia. Check their site for more information about the group and their studies. Membership is open to all and dues can be by family and not individual.
